Hints, not spoilers

Every hint on these pages sits behind its own click, and they are ordered from the vaguest nudge to the strongest. Open one, look at your puzzle again, and stop as soon as you can see the way in. A page that leads with the answer is not a hints page.

Where an answer is published at all, it is behind a second disclosure at the very bottom, so you cannot stumble into it while reading a hint.

Why some days are blank

These write-ups are done by hand. Nothing here reads another publisher's puzzle on a timer and reposts what it finds — those solutions are their editorial work, and republishing them on a schedule is both a copyright problem and the reason sites that do it disappear from search results.

The cost is that some days have no page. When that happens you get a straight statement that nobody has written it up, plus a link to the puzzle, rather than filler.

The tools usually beat the hints

For anything letter-based, a solver is the better move. It uses only what you already know — the tiles you have seen, the squares you have filled — and narrows the field without telling you anything you had not earned. The Wordle solver and the crossword solver are the two that cover most of these puzzles.

Meaning-based puzzles are the exception. Nothing here helps with a puzzle like Contexto, where the answer is found by semantic distance rather than spelling, and a hint from a person who has solved it is genuinely the only assistance available.

Whose puzzles these are

Every game listed here belongs to somebody else. Wordle, Connections, Strands, Spelling Bee and the Mini Crossword are made by The New York Times; Contexto is made by its own team. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them, and every page links to the real puzzle. If you want games that are actually ours, they are in the games section.

Common questions

Do you post today’s answers?
Only where an editor has written the day up, and always behind a separate click at the bottom of the page. Hints come first, ordered from vague to specific.
Why are some days missing?
Because nothing here is automated. This site does not pull another publisher’s solutions on a schedule — so a day with no write-up shows an honest empty state and a link to the puzzle rather than a guess.
Are you connected to any of these puzzles?
No. Every game listed is made and owned by its own publisher, and each page says who that is and links to the real puzzle. These are independent help pages.
Is a tool better than a hint?
Usually. A solver narrows the field using only what you already know, which leaves the deduction to you — a written hint cannot help but give away a little more than you asked for.
