Plain terms for a free site with no accounts. The short version: use it, keep what you make, do not abuse it.
Agreement
By using https://www.wordpuzzlekit.com you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel.
What you may do
Use every tool, list and game here, as often as you like, for personal, educational or commercial purposes. No licence fee, no attribution requirement, no usage cap.
Puzzles and worksheets you generate
They are yours. Word searches, scrambles, missing-letter sheets and anything else produced from your own word list can be printed, photocopied, distributed, published or sold without restriction. We claim no ownership of them and require no credit.
This matters most for teachers: print a class set, put it in a resource pack, sell it on a marketplace — all fine.
Word lists and search results
The underlying word data is public domain (see sources), so the words themselves carry no restriction from us. The written explanations, page copy and design of this site are ours and are not licensed for republication.
What you may not do
- Scrape the site at scale. The word data is public domain and available from its own source; take it from there rather than hammering these pages. Automated traffic that degrades the site for others may be blocked.
- Republish the site's written content — the explanations, guides and page copy — as your own.
- Misrepresent the site. Do not claim affiliation, and do not present results from here as the official ruling of any game.
- Interfere with it, or attempt to gain access to systems or data you are not entitled to.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
Specifically, and this is the one that actually comes up: a word appearing here does not mean it is valid in any given game. This site searches a public-domain lexicon, and commercial word games license their own dictionaries which differ at the edges. Treat a result as "this is an English word", not as a ruling. See the disclaimer for more.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Word Puzzle Kit is not liable for any loss arising from use of this site — including a lost game, a rejected word, a miscounted worksheet, or a printed sheet with an error on it. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Third-party names
Game names appearing on this site — including Wordle, Connections, Strands, Spelling Bee, Scrabble, Words With Friends, Wordscapes, Word Cookies, Wordfeud and Jumble — are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are used descriptively, to say which game a tool helps with. Word Puzzle Kit is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
