Frequently asked questions

How many letters can I unscramble at once?

Up to about fifteen letters comfortably. Longer inputs still work but return a lot of words, so use the exact-length filter to focus on the ones you want.

Why do I only see words with two or more letters?

Single letters are not useful results for unscrambling, so the tool starts at two-letter words. You can raise the minimum with the exact-length filter.

Does it show the longest word first?

Yes. Results are grouped by length with the longest words at the top, which is usually what you are after when unscrambling.

Is this the same as the anagram solver?

Same core engine, different focus. If you want fine-grained control — required letters, wildcards, excluded letters — the anagram solver is the better fit.
